Liability-Participants responsibilities
Outdoor activities can present inherent risk and hazards associated with them. Sea Kayak Paros tries to minimize that as much as possible with its guides being appropriately trained and certified to apply effective risk mitigation, however accidents can happen. Participants should know there are risks with outdoor activities and always be aware of hazards during participation. It is required that participants adhere to the instructions of the activity guides. Sea Kayak Paros will not accept responsibility for loss or injury resulting from a person’s failure to adhere to safety briefings and training provided or failure to disclose information requested. We suggest that participants have personal insurance that protects them from such occasions.

It is the client’s responsibility when booking or meeting the guide to inform of any medical condition/ illness / disability (including medication which may affect their performance) so we can discuss his/her needs and adjust accordingly. Guides can refuse participation to clients who may jeopardize the general safety of the group or themselves. For example compliances like the ones of the kayak manufacturer’s passenger characteristics: body weight 110kg (240lb), height 195cm (6,4ft). All members of your group must be fit enough to cope with the activity and the environment associated. In particular sea kayaking requires physical activity usually in hot conditions. Knowledge of swimming is essential despite the use of personal floatation devices, as well as being somewhat comfortable with the sea and paddling in deep water. Ski touring and Splitboarding may take place in rough environmental conditions, cold, snowstorms etc, or hazardous environments i.e. avalanche terrain. All participants should inform their guide immediately if they feel unwell during an activity. Alcohol or illicit drug use is not permitted prior or during activities. Clients must adhere to the instructions, guidance and decisions of our guides as their expertise, experience and training is the most appropriate to keep you safe and have an enjoyable time. Clients must show respect to equipment / vehicles / other clients / guides/ other beach users– Abuse or causing distress to others or loss/damage due to negligence will result in repair / full replacement costs. This may also lead to exclusion from activities / accommodation / courses without refund.
